Clifton is Hoka's clear bestseller for the past 6 years. The Hoka Clifton 9 is a running shoe that combines plenty of cushioning with low weight and a nice design. The shoe is primarily made for training, but is very popular as a leisure shoe and in professions with a lot of walking on hard floors.
Issue number 9 has a lot of exciting updates! One lighter EVA foam which retains the distinctive Hoka shock absorption, at the same time as the withstands more load.
The Clifton 9 has received a notch more damping and a 3mm higher "stack", but has still become lighter in weight. In addition to the extra cushioning, the Clifton 9 has a new improved midsole foam that gives good life to the step, and you really get the experience of a gentle shoe that floats well. We like that!!
The upper part is an engineered knit mesh that combines support, foothold and breathability in a very good way. The heel cap has an anatomical Achilles construction that is extra gentle on the heel tendon. One new material in the heel cap is very comfortable and locks the foot well where it should. The tongue is extra padded and fixed in the rest of the upper part for a soft and secure foot hold.
Like its predecessors, the Clifton 9 is best suited for asphalt, gravel and treadmills.
Fantastic training and running shoes for anyone who wants good comfort, be it long runs hard surface or a walk in the neighborhood! Excellent as leisure shoes or for hard surfaces in everyday life in general. With more cushioning and less weight, our dear Clifton is really in a good place in life!
